Price check on a shotspoon

A little over 20 years ago I bought a Ithica model 37 Featherweight 12 gauge 2 3/4" with a vent rib barrel (22-24 inch don't remember).

Been sitting in the closet collecting dust so I'm thinking for Christmas I need the money more than I need the spoon (also have a 870 for HD, got the Ithica to take up skeet but that never happened)

My plan is to sell it locally through calguns.net so I can skip the hassle of packing and shipping and just do the FFL at a local shop.

Only place I know to do a price check is at gunboker... problem is they run from $300-$500.

Are there any other websites I can check out to get an idea on value? Is the fact that it has never been fired a plus or minus (I clean it once a year).

TIA

Sold a model 37 with a fixed Modified bird barrel and a Slug barrel for $425.00 two years ago to a local gun shop.

Never made a connection with that gun.

Try to do a search on the calguns marketplace to see what if any have sold for

$300-$500 depending on condition seems about right for this one. If 12 GA 28" barrel I might be interested in SoCal.

If NIB condition, put on calguns for $500 asking and see what offers you get. You have to put a price with your post, but you can always welcome PMs with offers. I'd say "keep it" but an 870 is the same thing, so no need to double up.

the 20 is the only one that brings close to the $400-$500 mark. The 12's sell for $325- $375. Oh and it's ITHACA, like the city in upstate New York.

Thank you for the correction, it is a 12 and searching calguns.net you are right on with that price.
Thanks again!

I will check... I didn't even spell the manufacture correct so I won't try to guess on barrel length...

if you searched the wrong spelling you will still get results. A lot of people misspell it I wasn't trying to be a dick.I love 37's and have them all. I think they are the best of the pump guns. simple reliable guns that last forever. Prices are low just because they made and sold so many of them. The prices on it's competition, the remington 870, are about the same. Prices on the new Ithaca 37 are very expensive and they are still made in America in Ohio.

How about quality today vs. 20 years ago. I'd say an older 870 is worth more than a 3 year old in same condition. Same on the Ithaca?

Man I would take that off your hands instantly if you lived closer ! I worked in Ithaca N.Y. and purchased a Model 37 Featherlight 12 gauge with 28 " modified barrel back in the 80's. Was a great gun I shot several deer with that setup. In a foolish moment I sold it and regret it to this day. I don't see many of them in Georgia but someday I hope to find another to purchase. Good luck with the sale.

the new 37 is as good, if not better because of CNC machining. The people that own Ithaca are just downright great. Not many gun companies that you can call and talk to the owner. You can there..
They also make a 1911 that is hands down better than any out there including the Colt.

You are correct, even a search with the misspelling came up with a of hits... however with the correct spelling I got a lot more hits, so a big thank you sir!

I do find my new 870 feels a bit clunky compared to the old 37 but maybe it just need to be broken in.

However the 870 is my "end of the world/apocalypse/zombie" HD spoon so all it has to do is 'click, click, boom'.
