NHRA silly season rumors 2016
Looks like Shawn Langdon will stay at DSR this season.
The question is how much did it cost to get his contract from Alan Johnson who did not have a car for Langdon to drive? Don Schumacher is a pro and knows talent when he sees it, I predict Langdon will go from third wheel mule driver to star of the DSR line-up by the US nationals. Time will tell. Speaking of not having a car, Johnson is rumored to be going to work for John Force racing, he'll be little court-ny's crew chief and if Leah Prichard signs on, they'll have a two car dragster team with two female drivers. Heaven help the crews if their cycles synchronize ![]() Anyone seen Jason Line? Rumor is he's bailing as a summit KB driver, maybe going back to just tuning, maybe he's going to nascar! But his heart is no longer in driving a pro stock car. His stock is high as far as tuning, it'd be a damn shame if he sold out and went to work tuning miss piggy's elite Camaro pro stock car. And is summit really going to keep shelling out the big money to sponsor the digs when their main (business) competition can't pass the test and keeps getting kicked back down to the sportsman classes? I say no, summit will downsize and the KB summit racing team will basically go by-by. Maybe Greg Anderson can get a different sponsor to keep running a single car team. This is fun. Greg Anderson has taken over the "cranky old guy" role now that WJ has retired.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Pro Stock shakes out. And I surely wish that the NHRA would require Funny Cars to look more like their street counterpart. |
