It's never easy but 7 years is way too soon. Sorry for your family but at least he's at peace.

Jack was a sweet boy, not a mean bone in his body.
And the new boy is gettin his pops all dialed in. Ready and willin to learn. Do luv those Dales... I still miss her...that dog never rolled over for me.

All Dales have big paws or as they like to say, "The better to catch you with."

So sorry, David.
But, and I don't think I am going out on a limb here, I'm thinking Jack knew he was living the dream and why. My best to you and MJ.

With each pup it never gets less painful.
I feel for your hurt, David.

Thanks guys. Hank has big paws to fill. Jack was the best of the best of the 4 I have had. 7 was too young to die and so sudden. I put $4K into him trying to give us time to say good bye and they were great days indeed, worth every penny. In the end though it's an incurable disease and I had to honor the contract I made with him when I got him as a puppy. It was the right thing to do but as others have said it never gets any easier and is indeed heart wrenching. Trying to move on but even with Hank around there is still a huge hole in our hearts. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.
Another shot of Jack...such a sweet smart boy.. ![]()

I'm so sorry for your loss, David - but very proud of you for doing the right thing by Jack in the end. Much respect and love for you and yours. Please post updates of Hank on the Dog Thread from time to time.
Speaking of the Dog Thread....Jack was famous over there.....even made the first page.....look at this sweet face....... ![]() Sincerest condolences, David.

Damn....big paws to fill indeed, but a helluva grand paw to show him. Very sad David...but 'dales are so cool you'll smile again soon. Play the blues for now....be well down the road.
Give Hank a treat now.... |
