How do I delete user or email names on drop down menus?

I use W7 and can't delete old user names, incorrect names or emails from drop downs. Any ideas? Control+delete, Fn+delete, control+alt+delete, no good.

There is a little x showing next to the name, click it ...

You mean on web forms? How to do it depends on which browser you are using, but you are wanting it to forget auto complete information.

Firefox - Deleting autocomplete entries - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

Chrome - autocomplete - How to remove one or all auto-complete text entries in Chrome? - Super User

IE - Delete AutoComplete saved information

It will clear it out the screen. But it is still in the drop down. No 'x' next to the name in the drop down. Using Chrome.

Try using the arrow down to highlight it and then hit the delete key. I know it works in Outlook, but it seems like other things might work the same way.

Ok, thought you were on outlook.

Get a utility like Crap Cleaner.... it has tools and options to remove MRU and stuff... easy peasy...
