Multistrade Enduro

Any of you guys seen this bike. I'm so pissed. it really looks like it will be just what I was looking for. I had the opportunity to spend a lot of good miles on a friends KTM 1190R, I thought for sure that would be the Adventure bike I was going to add to the stable. I really liked the KTM.....Then I rode a new GS right after it, on those same good roads. Line story short, I ended up buying a new GS1200 Adventure back in November.... Love the bike...Have already taken it places I shouldn't and Have dumped it during a watercrossing (picked it up and kept on going)....but if I had known that Ducati was making this Multistrada Enduro, I would have waited to at least test ride it........I'm a sport bike guy at heart and that Ducati checks a lot of boxes.

Those big ADV bikes are just too big for me. I wish KTM would update the old 640 ADV. Other than the classic LC4 (everything shakes and rattles issues) racket, it is a pretty good ADV when it gets rough.

Looks promising, but personally, I don't understand the need for 600lb dirt bikes. I had a GS1150ADV for years and just got tired of wrestling the thing around off-road, keeping it from falling over and worrying about being stuck somewhere riding solo. My KLR650 strikes a near perfect balance for me... Just wish it had about 10HP more.

i could not imagine wanting to abuse that bike off-road.
those tires wouldn't work around here.

Yup, not to mention the 28" inseam handicap I have.

Agree Richard - My KTM 625 is plenty off-road (more than 10 HP over the KLR)

I've read 2 recent reviews of the KTM/vs/Ducati Multistrata........KTM won hands down both times.....Seems the new Duck is way down on power at certain RPM due to mapping/FI problems.....

I have the same inseam issue as FlatButt.......I'm 6-2 with an inseam of 30".....

I'm sure M Marsh is the exception, but many of these big bore adventure bikes see about as much Off-road as all those SUV's that never get off the Tarmac.......

They get street tires and are ridden on the daily commute, splitting lanes, looking cool. +1 - I can't imagine going off road on something that heavy.

I get the weight thing, and for serious off road, I have a weapon for that. But your not gonna ride any single on the road for hours at a time doing 80 of 85 miles per hour. I bought my Adventure bike for and I ride with guys who moto camp in Death valley do the Colorado BDR...etc.... the biggest thing I see with these big bikes really is that guys just don't know how to ride them...They are way more capable then you'd imagine. Some TKC80s and some skill go along way.....I'd say on 95% of the roads I ride, I'd say I'm faster on my big adventure bike then I am on my sportbikes.
