Its nice to get a deal once in a while

:)

My counterpart at Sony Pictures gets nice discounts for friends and family. Both flat screens and wall mounts, I saved about $1,500. Bought him lunch and offered him two Disneyland passes. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1452209252.jpg

An early birthday present for yourself?

Sort of, 62 end of January. The old flat screens were going to crap.

65 inches! You'll be able to see Armand Hammer and Johnny Depp even better than on the set of the movies!

What a score!

(Amazon has pretty good prices on wall mounts, fwiw!)

He tossed in both wall mounts.

I upgraded my old one to a 50" Vizio last November, Hugh. It's amazing how much freaking light this thing shines into the house now! I can't imagine one your size!

Enjoy - you've earned it!

These new electronics. New 65" Sony trying to mate it with a 7 year old surround sound, also Sony. The new TV needs a digital optical cable as compared to the old 55" which needed an HDMI. The old surround sound has a digital optical cable input, BUT, the manual doesn't tell you how to mate the two together. Also something about the interface with the internet "smart" TV feature. Thankfully, I have a 27 y/o son who figured it out. When I was a kid we had manual TV's and eventually remotes. I turn a TV on/off, adjust the volume and change channels. Between the TV, and the blue-ray/surround sound I counted 65 buttons, let alone all the sub-routines that many of the buttons perform. My Son got it working and said "Dad, it works now, don't eff with it".

Hmm. And I was just thrilled a couple weeks ago to get 11 McNuggetts in the 10-pack container.

I'm still happy with my free 50". Had to put in a little labor and $50 worth of parts, but it works great now!!'

Nice, I like it when good things happen to good people.

My sister hooks me up with HP computer stuff from time to time. More of a case of a nice person with a brother situation there though.

So you CHOSE to become a World famous hand surgeon instead of becoming a lowly safety dweeb, not my problem if you didn't make the right career choice. SmileWavy

Next thing you know, you'll be telling me that you have to drive from LA to Bakersfield once a week. Oh, nevermind. ;) Do you at least get mileage?:p
