Reliable & Expert Gunsmiths in Phoenix, AZ Area
I have 3 SKS triggers that I want worked on.
Anyone know of a good gunsmith in this area? If so, any personal experience w/them? I've decided I may not want to ship them out...turn around times are weeks & weeks. Thanks for any info. ~~~~~~~~~~ BTW, an excellent vid. here: .

Don't know anyone in the valley who is an SKS guru, but this guy in TX seems to be the go-to GS for SKS trigger work:
SKS triggers, improve the safety of the SKS carbines Or there is always Bill Springfield (if he is still taking jobs). It's easy enough to remove the trigger group and send it off. It might take longer than finding a local, but the prices seems reasonable and it may be worth the wait for someone with such expertise (trigger jobs), and reputation. YMMV. That's Tom Prince...he's supposed to be the 'the man'.
He installs wolf spring kits along w/his magic. He replied to my email several months ago...I just emailed him this AM, texted, and phoned...no response. . Bill Springfield has a ton of bad mojo on forums...50/50, good bad...and zero communication interest. I'd do it myself first. Several here in the Valley...I was looking for a referral. . Thanks.

Well, there you go. Just do it yourself. Plenty of YT vids and DIY stuff on the net.

Yeah, it might be worth avoiding the inevitable DIY aggravation/learning curve to just send it off. If you couldn't get hold of him today, maybe try one more time on Monday/Tuesday (normal business hours)?
Or, this. Just don't shoot yer eye out. ![]() |
