When Leland was in trouble, he called this for help :) (AC130H Spectre in action)

Pretty impressive stuff.

Avi is about 1/5th of the size of the MPG...so anybody with bandwidth, take the mpg version, 159MB.

Well I just happened to find this on the net. I was not involved

Just thought that Leland was somewhere in there fighting and thought some people would find this interesting. At least I did, pretty modern fighting.

Modern? yes and no, I mean the C130 has been in service since Vietnam so the platform is rather old. The C130 is an awesome transport and gunship. The cannon on that thing has been around for years too, along with the conventional though huge machine gun, what size 50mm? I don't think they used it in the video?

What is modern is the night vision accuracy.

In that video it appears they are using the side mounted cannon to attack a single person.
That's like taking a tank to a pistol duel.

I'm downloading as we speak.

Depending on configuration (there are many) the AC-130 gunship carries a 105MM gun, and a 20MM rotary cannon and possibly a 40MM Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher.

I've never supported them so I could be alittle "off" as far as configuration goes...

My boss told me that the original "Gunship" had three 20MM cannons on each side! WOW!

Just watched the clip.
WOW! Way cool.

The smaller explosions you saw were 40MM grenades from the MK19. The larger ones at the end were 105 rounds.

Slightly overkill for a guy hiding in a ditch...but whatever.
