When pieces of your 'brush with greatness' past start to age and die, you feel... mortal.

Spent an evening with the band at Caribou... now I guess relegated to a galaxy far, far away.

Glenn is an icon... not to be replaced, or forgotten, may he rest now in peace with no more pain.

Glenn Frey, RIP

Glenn deserves to be on page one, it's Friday night by God.

Ticks me off how much the music critics and the Brit's hate the Eagles. I guess when it's considered an art form by Rolling Stone magazine (Country Rock) it is for some reason not acceptable to run your band like a business and make some money. I never heard anyone whining about the Beatles or Rolling Stones making a profit.

I saw the Eagles live in concert (2X) in the 70's, they kicked ass and took names. DP

I second that CMDR!
Been listening all week to concert videos and interviews.

Great band for sure.
Didn't know they were not well received in U K.
Funny that

Cheers Richard

HBO re-ran the 3 hour / 2 part History of the Eagles last night. Great show and most interesting, i.e. their dealings with Geffen, no love lost there.

Only downside? I had a major case of Eagles Ear Worm all day.... particularly "Lying Eyes"...

Couple of guys here have stated that the 'Brits' don't like the Eagles. Well, that is a generalisation that is not true. When they came over in 2014 they added extra dates to the tour to cope with the demand:

Quote the Mirror: "All-American superstars The Eagles have announced extra dates for the UK leg of their History of The Eagles 2014 tour in response to popular demand."

They have a big fan base over here - and I'm one of them. Really sad to hear about Glenn, I only got to see them once in the '70s, they appeared with Elton John, The Beach Boys and Joe Walsh had a separate slot before joining in with The Eagles - it was a cracking set! RIP Glenn and thanks for all your music.
