That sounds like a heck of a deal. Makes me wonder how good it can be for $40, but then at $40, it's nearly disposable, and should last long enough to get your $40.

That's a fairly standard price for a 4' LED shop light. You can get them at Home Depot for the same price. Nice lights, though.

Yep. My local Costco has something similar for $35. Pick them up right away and no problems returning them.

But the ones at Costco (and most places) are 40Watt equivalents. No idea if Woot is serious about 250 watt equivalents....that would be amazingly bright.

I have over a dozen of the Feit Electric (sold by Costco and other retailers) LED 4' shop lights in my shop. They are 3700 lumens, 4100K lights. The first set I purchased over a year ago (and still running) for about $60 each. Recently I purchased them from Costco online (I'm not a member) for about $37 each.

My lights are hung 14' high and the dispersion is very acceptable. I have sodium lights in the shop as well, but now all I need is the LEDs.

Pretty impressed with them.

Not a great picture... at 38 Watts each, I'll save quite a bit of money...

I don't see these as practical at $40. Not for my garage. Maybe in a shop where they are on all day, but not for my home.

I am happy with my cheap fluorescent with an electronic ballast.

I have some sort of bad juju with fluorescent lights. They have been incredibly unreliable for me in my past 3 home garages. None have lasted more than a year and frankly I hated not having a reliable light source. One day they work, the next few days they just buzz and mock me. Screw it I'll give the Costco LED lights a try.

^^^^ this ^^^^

Same problem here... I've tried waaay too many fluorescents. Every one (including electronic ballasts) in my garage eventually gives up the ghost... maddening.

I went to my local costco and bought five of these new LED fixtures at $30/ea and two LED replacement bulbs for a FL fixture I wanted to keep (and to frankly try the replacement bulbs that you do not have to remove or rewire your existing fixture for $30 a pair).

My garage is like the surface of the sun now. Instant ON!

I've only had them a month - I couldn't be happier. No obvious experience long-term but all of my other LED bulbs in the house (some I have had for years) are without a single failure yet (knock on wood). So, if I get a couple of good years out of them until the next BIG THING, I'm gold.

Go get them Java.

+1 on the Costco deal. I have not stepped up to LED because I have 6 long double fluorescent fixtures to replace and cannot justify it on energy usage alone. I do agree that fluorescent tubes are a major PITA, noisy and flickering and one always seems to be out.

I agree.

With multiple 6 foot long double flourescents in my garage, one of them was always buzzing, flickering or on the verge of burning out.

I replaced them all with the $35 Costco LED's, they're great!

They are brighter than the fluorescents, and the light is a better, whiter color, too.

If these things last as long as they say they will, they are nothing short of a garage lighting miracle.

So to be clear you folks are talking about Costco LED bulbs right? The Feit LED 4’ Direct Replacement Tube? Currently $66/4 pack.

Feit LED 4

What if my electronic ballast is shot...will these still work?

I love WOOT but you need to research what they are offering.

They are an overstock clearing house.

Stuff that either did not sell the first time or products with a specific issue that are refurbs.

Often the same item can be found on sale multiple places.

I've gotten some great deals but also enough stinkers that taught me to research the product beforehand.

These are what I bought - one fixture at a time in the store itself.

If you have kept your receipt you can get a price adjustment. I bought 12 last year and got the adjustment. For one of two it may not be worth the hassle but for 12 it was
