Need a German speaker/reader, please

I have a package coming from DHL. It is coming from Germany and the website is German. It was sent once (check is in the mail) and returned. It is on the way again.

DHL USA is no help, no German speakers. Best they can do is give me an international number to call, again no joy. The seller is irked because of dispute with payment. So he is uncommunicative.

Above is the link to Germany DHL, the pictographs shows it is in transit. I have an open PayPal dispute on this. It was shipped 1/17/15. No estimate of delivery. That's all I can figure out.

Any GOOD help is appreciative.

In my experience DHL Germany hands their stuff off to USPS for delivery. Look for an alternate tracking number, possibly starting with "CE" and then enter it on the USPS website.

Thanks, there was a "CL" number and it worked on the USPS site.

It shows last in Germany with the note that it is being transported to the receiving country. Jan 17 is last seen date ...

Let me know if you need more help.

The problem with DHL is that as soon as the delivery leaves Germany they cannot track/show tracking anymore. It is a PITA.

I dont think this page will show any more information.

The CL-number is the number the foreign deliverer uses.

Yepp. Hands them off to USPS. DHL is usually registered so you'll have to sign for it.
If you paid for overnight, it might go through UPS, and usually UPS will email you an updated tracking once they are in possession of it. ;)

The tracking number is good in the USPS system. Passed through Frankfurt 1/17. My bet is it's in customs. I've had some stuff held up in customs for weeks.

There's a button top right hand corner that translates the page to English.

DHL Track and Trace, Deutsch Español Nederlands English Français Čeština Polski

And you can expand to get further details.

yup Customs can be a lengthy process even for big organizations with well established trade routes.

I sent four steelies to Paris USPS a couple of years ago. Buyer insisted placing the declared value at $50. Wonder if that has anything to do with ease of passage?

Maybe six days total. Two day black out period once it left the US.
