spoons, now ponies

As we all know here we tend to call firearms spoons. No idea as to why Tabs started it, but it has been fun.

Facebook has changed their policy on allowing groups that promote the buying/selling/trading of firearms amongst its members, and "will be deleting posts as they are found"...

So one of the groups I'm a member of (focuses on the city I live it) just changed their name from "Gainesville Firearm Trader" to "Gainesville Super Awesome Pony Trader" and people are editing their posts to reference equines, saddles (holsters), and tack (ammo).

Fun stuff... lets see how long it lasts.

So Facebook is opposed to at least one article of The Constitution.
(The 2nd Amendment to be specific.)

Then they delete posts and pics at will.
(The 1st Amendment)

Then they track users without knowledge or consent.
(The 4th Amendment)

That is a start.
Keep digging boys.

So begins their slide into political correct irrelevancy and inevitable bankruptcy...

Except as a private corporation they have no obligations to your rights ... Only the government or its agents can infringe on your rights...

The one I was on was taken down. Had allot of cool advertising from local shops. Some of those shops can make your pony look like something from call of duty.... Yes the video game

Was an active user, deleted mine a few months after they went Public.

It became loaded with click bait advertising, I was out. I guess with policies like this, I won't really consider going back.

In Europe Facebook has become Hatebook over the Refuge crisis. Facebook coprorate apparently is all hands off there - even though some countries have strict laws on hate speech, death threats to politicians etc. I think the stupidity of the average user is going to bring it all down. I remember the internet when it started - it was great. You had to have at least an average IQ to be able to log on and join a mailing list. Those were the days ...

Yup. And then AOL happened. I tell my students about the social media we had - IRC and protocols like finger. It would be awesome to hear a girl say "finger me for my plans this weekend" in the halls...
