I should not have looked...but I did.

I had opened a new retirement investment account last year and did pretty well. But I have already given back those earnings. :( I know it goes up and down but day-um I gave back everything and am now very close to my original investment.

Gonna close my eyes and not look again till next quarter.

Cue the Taboola doom train.

Too funny, you might consider investing in collector shoes.

Old Dead Guy Shoes! https://smileyshack.files.wordpress.....gif?w=1000&h=

I am over a decade from being able to tap into my 401k, so I don't worry about it. I also am not very aggressive on half of it, so there will always be something left ...

I have my credit card and retirement funds at USAA. When I log into download the credit card charges and check the statement the first page has a rundown of my funds. I try not to look at them right now. I just go to the CC statement and find out how much the payoff amount is for that month.

Then again at 2 PM or so, total change of matching outfit. She sure looked good, tho.

BTW, I've been in all cash for a few months - 'cept for $50k in S&P 500.
Politicians & the Fed scare me.

Haha - that's the problem with women. They look good and take care of themselves? 80% overlap with poor spending habits ...

Arizona_928 02-04-2016 12:16 PM

I just bought into some coal. Talk about high risk.

Don't sell till about October..........Market and economy is always great right before Election day.....

rusnak 02-04-2016 03:44 PM

You guys are going to have to resort to wearing Chinee made shoes

gatotom 02-05-2016 10:52 AM

LakeCleElum, hit it on the nose. If the new pres is the other party, look out below and if the new pres is the same party, look out below.

Sound like a broken record.

Main thing is diversify and don't hold back on whatever you want to buy till next yr, buy it now cuz it will be 10% more next yr.

I am very diversified. That's why I was so surprised to see the give back across nearly all of my funds. Real estate is the only one I made money on but it is my smallest holding.

That's the plan. I hope it recovers by then. When it does I'm going to start taking profit out of stocks and into a cash fund.

masraum 02-05-2016 06:54 PM

If you've got any more money, buy in some more.

I would if I could but I'm retired and on a fixed income. The best I can do now is move it around.
