I bought a 1978 MT125R back in 1988 to race the last ARRA race at Riverside Speedway before it was to be closed forever. I did 2 laps IIRC, then pulled into the pits because I was too freaked out about the skinny, ribbed tires. Was used to 250GP slicks at the time. Kept the bike in my upstairs living room on Coronado for about a year, then sold it. Great little bikes!

Cool project. Did not think that a 125 would be a two cylinder, what's the redline?

How about a 6 cylinder 250?

I've been watching the Mecum bike auctions the last few days. Amazing what some of those small-displacement racers go for. And man, vintage Triumphs seem to be dropping in prices now.
