The body panels have the last 3 digits of the VIN on them. On the hood I think it is on the hinge mount. Both of my cars have replacement hoods with no numbers, so I can't be sure. On the doors they are on the inner door frame near the hole for the handle. They should be on the top edge where the rain tray meets the frame of the engine lid. The numbers are a little over an inch high, but they are shallow and easily filled with paint.

Back in 1970, I owned a 64 356C, nice car but I was constantly spinning it out of a turn, just didn't have the power to slingshot out of a turn. When I got the 911S, everything was good, no more losing the turn plus the wheel base was longer.

I'm amazed at the so called "value" of these cars. I'd love one and have always wanted one but for the current prices.....I'll keep the money in the bank. OTOH the Ruf outlaw I would kill for.
