Funny part is if you can afford the car, much less the clock, you can probably afford to not worry too much about time either...

I think on my fathers he paid about 20k for some sort of optional umbrella holder that's spring loaded inside the rear door jamb. Why he needs an umbrella in Arizona in the first place I'll never know.

I liked the observation that for that money you can buy a Porsche and have change leftover.

Hire a driver at $40,000 a year wages, and have him tell you the time for 5 years from the front seat.

We all have our special interests that we feel are worth the money. Sound systems, cars, trips...

Again, the only value in that clock is to brag "I've got something you don't" And again, we have Pelicans with the same M.O. just in smaller numbers.

Great if you can afford it but considering the stupid money some people pay for so called "Art" this clock isn't that extravagant.

Those are Australian dollars,it's only really about $160,000!

I will say this, that if my company made that clock it would be around $500,000 and not be as well made!

It also appears to have a tourbillon movement which are extremely complicated and simply put counteract the forces of gravity on the movement / fascinating stuff if you ask me.

This is more about building the image of ultimate luxury for the manufacturer. I doubt many are stupid enough to pay it.
