Need PPI in Dallas, TX.
Can any Dallas guys recommend a good shop for a 996 GT3 in Dallas? The car is in Wylie, (NE of Dallas), so the closer the better to there but please let loose with any opinions on shops.
TIA. |
Can't help you, but I lived in Wylie when it had a population of 2500. It's 44,000 now. Never saw a Porsche there back in the day, but I had the posters.

I don't know of anything close to there, nice looking car ... maybe RAC in Carrolton? Dunno...

RAC, forgot about those guys.
It's not an unreasonable distance from Wyle. |
Doesn't Ruf have a shop in Dallas?
|
or maybe Porsche of Plano...worth a call

Porsche of Plano
John Gladwill or Chuck Haynes These guys are two of the best Mechanics I know ! I would NOT buy a used Porsche without one of these guys checking it out. |
How did it go? Was it the white one? It's still on their site, the one I thought it was..
|
Hans Hoffman at RAC - Formerly Ruf. 214-269-1570. Some of the guys at that Wylie shop used to be at Rac.
|
Craig T bought that 997 TT from RAC and seemed very happy with them.
|
I have also heard good things about RAC from DFW area folks.
|
I bought my Turbo in Dallas sight-unseen and had RAC do the PPI. They sent the over-rev counts, and even sent me pictures of a paint thickness meter on the panels. Found all kinds of stuff. e.g. pinhole leak in the radiator, spoiler hydraulic failure, clutch slave cylinder. I was happy with them. Of course they got to fix everything that was wrong, so they had incentive to dig deep.
