Early S cars - Video of what it can buy
Not sure if we have hit the bubble yet on the prices but check this vid and does this look like the kind of car you would swap into by selling an early S 911 ?

Banned but not out, yet..

Don't know what Lambos go for new or used, but some pristine examples of early S's are fetching over $300k.

After 1 minute and 4 seconds I realized I wasn't quite "manly" enough to own one.

No, I wouldn't swap my 911 for that nor would I make a video whilst wearing my sunglasses inside talking about how manly I was if I did.

Fighting off a strong urge to throat punch this guy. I stopped being interested in Lambo's when I graduated High School...... Just sayin... But I know what you are thinking, I am only jealous....... of his garage.... ;-)

I am not sure why I cringe just because this is someone from my country, but seriously Dude: We get it - you traded a 930 for the Lambo. We wish you well. I can only speak for myself - I understand the modern sports car phenom. I sold an air-cooled car, bought a Cayman. It was amazing, and boring, clinical and dull. I tried to justify my choice, but realized I hated it. I came to my senses, sold it and bought another air-cooled car. Right now you are preaching to the unconverted. You should either; a) join a Lamborghini forum and extoll the virtues of the brand and leave us alone, or b) come to your senses, sell it and buy another luft car. Think of how much you will save in depreciation! If you choose to buy another air-cooled car, please check back in and let us know. Meanwhile, please stop letting down the North.

If that's a typical lambo owner, I don't want anything to do with them. If I were Lamborghini, I would sue the guy for depreciating the value of their cars.

Yet another useless video, posted in the 911 technical forum.
If I were a moderator, you'd be out of here. Nobody cars about these videos of yours. They have no interesting content. They certainly don't belong in this forum. If you have indeed sold your 930, do us all a favor and join a Lambo forum and go pester another crowd of people. We don't care about your "Exotic Car Play Place" whatever the hell that is. JR |

In 1995 I owned a 1986 Ferrari 328 Euro, a 1986 930, both in low miles and perfect condition. I then added a 1973 911S with 88,000 miles. I lowered it, added T bars etc. At a Porsche club event I brought and drove the crap out of my 328. I then went home a took out my 930 to same event. I then brought out my 73S and after a few rides in all 3 cars myself and my friends concluded that my 73S was our favorite.
I do miss my 930 and never really liked my 328 that much. My 930 would run circles around the my 328. If someone gave me a Lambo I would sell if before someone saw me in it and buy a 89 930. |

Trying my best not to be a hater, but your video makes that difficult; with its lack of meaningful content and your narcissistic style. I don’t know you, maybe you’re different in “real life”? As a car guy, I like your Gallardo, especially in white. It really is sharp. However, I don’t know how to answer your question, as I’m not exactly sure why you’ve taken up this angle, that “early S 911” guys would be interested in selling to obtain a “new skool” Lambo? They are worlds apart…hell, galaxies apart. It’s as if you’re so excited about your new toy that you felt it necessary to come to an obvious Porsche site on the offensive, to extol the superiority of said toy. I hope that works out for you…

No, But my neighbors son would. if he owned an early S. Right now he drives his mom's car.
I am sure most shallow, superficial, immature, simple type person would. Any body who has a clue would not. |

I own an S and I think my 9 year old son would be impressed by the Lambo I would look like such a screaming midlife crisis. I would trade to S for a Muira though

It would have to come with a supply of bags to put over my head so that no one could ever see me in it.

I actually thought the same...that the S to a Miura was a more sensible place of comparison.
