Subing out the job
 

Ok, so now I'm an ex DIY guy. The story is the old bod just ain't up to it.......I'm sticking to that.

The Miata got a new radiator, aluminum not plastic. Since my records with the car included no records of maintenance, a timing belt, water pump, & new belts & hoses got into the mix......ouch, at 90 bucks per hour.

The Miata has an after market turbo but any dyno data was absent. The fella that did the install said he didn't do one.


So, add that to the list. The results were mixed. 3 passes were all over 185HP & just under 170 Torque ....all more than I expected but the AF ratio was lean....at both ends of the rev range...middle too.
I gotta get ahold of Flying Miata & see if that can be richened. There is no pinging but that makes me nervous.
