anyone using Milorganite lawn fertilizer ?
Curious on feedback from using Milorganite fertilizer for a southern lawn. I have read their website and various other forum reviews seems very positive. I'm looking to help root growth and assist in greening. We have some weeds but not bad yes I know it does nothing for weed prevention. We have three dogs, lots of birds/squirrels/chipmunks etc. so want to make sure we use something that is animal friendly.
Or do you have any suggestions for other brands of organic fertilizer ? |

I've never given a thought to using organic, but just use any that has a decent mix (10-10-10 for example) for a southern fescue lawn. I figured if I put down organic, the dawgs would probably just eat it anyways...they seem partial to McTurds... |
Lawns
Scotts is great regular green bag, also it is small granules like sugar
so goes down into the grass as well.Spread on with one of there small cheap spreaders, and do it couple of times one month apart anytime from now on. If you buy there spreader put on no 4 or 5, grass grows really thick and forces weeds out. |
I've used it. It works ok. Put it on just before it rains, as dogs like it.
Best thing I ever did for my lawn was have the soil tested for ph and nutrients. Once I got the adjusted weed problems a weak grass problems went away. |
