So I was bored in Athens...
 

Cool city in a gritty way. After a 3 hour visit to the Acropolis and the museum, I was kinda bored 2 days into my 5 day stay here. Reminds me of my trip to Singapore last year when I said hell with it, and flew to Bangkok. Took the bus to the airport and hopped a plane to Santorini for real cheap. Wind is howling and its freezing cold. Walked an hour from the bus stop to my hotel... stopped along the way for a half litre of red wine and what actually turned out to be excellent chicken souvlaki - better than anything I've had in Athens. Mrs. Motion sat this one out :(, but life is good. Africa Twins and Transalps are all over Greece. I'm gonna buy one (later this year?) and stash it in Italy, France or Spain. Maybe at Paco's place near Madrid. Gonna rent a scooter tomorrow to explore the island. The hotel brought me a comp bottle of wine so yeah, I can barely type., Yours truly , Motion

Plus, I took a picture of the cops at a demonstration at the parliament and the cops made me shoe them my camera and delta the footo. WTH

I had fun in Athens and the Greek islands. In fact much more than my fair share of fun. Mind you it was August when I was there.

Cavaeate the pickpocket romas who are a bit too friendly and bumpy on the train.

I did not have such a great trip to Athens, years ago now. Flew in for the weekend to surprise my girlfriend who was traveling with friends around Europe. Problem was it was the coldest April in a 100 years, 30s and rainy all weekend. So we didn't leave the hotel much. Which wasn't a problem per se, but we both wanted to walk the city, ruins, etc. One thing that was funny, dinner on Saturday night, we both agreed we'd had much better Greek food in the U.S.

I care if people want to share their travel experiences. I might learn something. Maybe I might decide to visit that part of the world. Keep 'em coming Motion
