Danelectro DC-59 Bass
 

As long as we are talking about musical gear, this thing followed me home last week. I needed another bass like I needed another blade of grass in my lawn but I gotta say I really like this thing. I have wanted one since I heard one on a recording, commented to the bassist who is a friend, and heard his laughter when he told me it was a DC-59. These things are inexpensive. About 5 lbs. Wonderful tone. It NAILS some of the material we do. I will have another bass or two on hand of course. A Precision for sure. But I intend to play this thing most of the night on Friday.
