Any idea what this is?

This has been sitting in this field I ride my bicycle by for quite a while now. Every so often a for sale sign goes up on it.

Vintage tin.

That cowl is worth something to someone, s'long as it's not been hacked too bad.

Looks like about $.20/lb, if you sort it first.

Fabbed snowplow.

Those look like 'Diamond T' truck wheels on the back, from the 40's and 50's.

Back in the day people had to make do. You might call it being innovative.

Not sure what it is but it sure looks like something my dad would make out in his shop.

Very cool. The mechanism to lift the snow plow/grader attachment/blade is simple, yet ingenious.

It's a Doodlebug. In the '30s Chevy dealers used to hand out instructions on how to make one from a Chevy truck. Interestingly, I've seen dozens of Model A and Model T Doodlebugs, a few Dodges, a Whippet, and NO Chevys even though Chevy was promoting them. An old guy in a nearby town got his license taken away for too many DUIs. He made a Doodlebug to drive to the liquor store.
