Apparently you may need to update *TODAY*

My wife did my old Kindle last night, and her parent's Kindles yesterday. Good way for them to sell more units !

I believe that's only if your Kindle is 2012 or older. If it is, you can still update it by plugging it into your computer.

Ever since I put the Kindle app onto my iPad my Kindle has been gathering dust. Updating as we speak, however. Thanks for the reminder.

My wife has an older Kindle (not sure how old) and also has a new(er) Fire. I told her about this thread and she says she can only have one device connected to the internet at a time.
Could I update her old Kindle without having to touch the new Fire? Edit - Just looked, doesn't look like there's any update for Kindle Touch, she's got the latest version.

If you miss the March 22nd deadline, you can still update manually.

Not sure what she is talking about on the one device on internet at a time, I have never run in to that, and I have three of them. |

Yeah, she had hers on auto update too, so it's got the latest version.
I think she means one device on the account, but I'm not sure, I've never gotten into how those work.

We have 2 old Kindles and a newer Kindle Fire all under one account and have no problem with connecting more than one device on the internet ??

thanks for the head's up on this.
I advised my wife and she updated her reader. She can continue to ignore without interruption now.

For the most part, my Kindle Fire only comes out for watching movies on airplanes.
