Auto Appraisal Group

Looking to get my two cars appraised in Columbus Ohio. I called AAG and was quoted $680.00 for the appraisal work which includes an onsite inspection followed by a delivered 10-15 page report. Has anyone used them or offer someone else to do the report? Thanks, Warren

Are you getting them appraised for insurance purposes? Or just because you want to know? I've found that unless the appraisal was done the day before a accident most insurance companies ignore them. Save yourself the $680

What are the cars and what is the purpose of the appraisal? Insuring for fair value? Selling?

Car #1 is my 83SC which I have owned since 8/12 and currently insured with Leland West for an agreed value of 36K. It gets driven to work occasionally and has a max mileage of 6K as stated in my policy.

Car#2 will be in my possession Saturday and if insured by LW would be unlimited mileage and occasional drive days to work like the SC with an agreed value of 29K. If I go with my DD insurance they will base the agreed value on a written appraisal which is why I'm researching appraisers.

My question is if anyone has experience with Auto Appraisal Group?

FWIW, that's why I use Haggerty.

I tell them how much coverage I want, provide recent pics inside and out and we are done.

Ask the insurance company who they use for appraisals.

It's the same with LW.

My DD insurance is with Grange and they are not geared for classic car insurance but are willing to insure my car for an appraised value. I'm fairly confident that the appraiser will come close to what I currently have them appraised for.
