I was playing a concert at the CBC broadcast centre in Toronto last night. Kind of awkward to see the CBC's former poster boy all over their TV display in the atrium:

It seems to me that the potential trouble was foreseeable, and had he left the CBC quietly, might not have happened.

But some celebrities have a different view of the world.

A few weeks ago an employment lawyer acquaintance of mine suggested to me that the CBC would settle quickly, and behind closed doors. How quickly the situation changed.

I believe bail conditions are fairly commonplace in American judicial systems as well, hardly "uniquely Canadian"
