Should this be in PARF? Android vs. Apole is almost a religious debate

Lucky guy. I has a OnePlus X and it will be a while before I see it.

On a OnePlus 2 here, anxiously awaiting the MM update.

OnePlus 2 looks a damned fine phone! Needing an upgrade, so thanks for the heads-up guys!

My kids S7's have it. It seems nice but don't know that I'd give up my S5 just to get it.

I did just that on Saturday, but only because I cracked by S5 glass Friday night. I got the S7 Edge. Functions and operation are almost identical, zero learning curve. The S7 Edge has a slightly larger screen in the same size frame. Camera is a little better, as is storage, but certainly not worth upgrading until your S5 breaks.

Check out the new features in S Health (I think that's the app) It's pretty cool. The S7 has a few more bells and whistles and the photo editing is pretty cool too. We got in on the buy 1 S7 get a second free deal because I had one more line to add for my youngest. My two older kids got the S7's but they're splitting the cost of it and paying me back. My phones are strictly for business so I really don't care what they do as long as the make and receive calls and the text and email works.

I have all Nexus devices, so I have been on MM for a while. The one thing that I really like is Google pushes out a security update at least one a month for them. I am not sure that other vendors are doing that. Anyone not using a Nexus getting monthly updates?

Beat me to it, I came here to brag about having a Nexus as well :p

I like prompt updates and no Touchwiz.

Not sure which cell service you have, but T-Mobile says they are going to upgrade the S5's

I'm with Verizon. I think it will get upgraded eventually from what I've read since posting.

So.....

12 hours on battery, WiFi connected, a few short calls...59% battery left.

Wife, who has fewer apps installed. Similar, use today. 13 hours, 83% battery left!!!

And Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi are turned on! They said this update would improve battery life!

Personally... I'd wait for the reviews before accepting any Android upgrade.

I have a Galaxy S5. Thankfully I put off upgrading to Lollipop. Seems to universally have issues. I start every day saying I want to put off the upgrade... and will until it's time for a new phone.

Oh the pleasures I'm missing out on

Not sure your issue. Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) was the mistake. It prevented use of the SD card by most programs. Android 5 (Lollipop) fixed that.
