Arrow In Sacramento take a look at an aerial lift truck

Guys,

I am in the market for an aerial lift truck. I found just the right truck in Sacramento but I am in NYC. If there is anyone out there who would be able to take a look at it and knows something about trucks/lift/equipment type things please let me know.

It is at Mayer Equipment, Inc.
4235 West Capitol Ave.
Sacramento, CA 95691

Thanks in advance.

Mike,

I'm not in Sac, but if you have questions about cranes etc, shoot them over. I've been around them since I was a little kid. Dad was always trading in them!

I'm surprised a decent commercial vehicle was found on the opposite side of the country.

That is West Sac, across the river from the hospital, industrial area sort of. I don't know lift vehicles, but could probably tell if there is hydraulic fluid where there should not be, and if the transmission fluid and engine oil don't look/smell right.

Could swing by there on Friday maybe

Tobra,

It would be much appreciated if you could swing by. I would love for them to operate the lift in front of someone to see/hear how well it sounds and if the truck runs well.

Thanks, Mike

Maybe I could do a video or something.

Do I need to know more than, "It is the aerial lift truck you are selling."

Toby, video is good. Make sure all outriggers go down and up, boom rotates, goes up down, in and out. If it has upper controls make sure they demonstrate both sets of controls working. LOOK FOR LEAKS, and LEAKS, and MORE LEAKS. These trucks always seem to have hydraulic leaks. Just look for freshly cleaned areas, or oily spots.

Mike, is there a VIN I need to ask them about, or do I just say, Mikey from Brooklyn sent me?

Better charge up the battery in my camera.

Tobra,

I will speak to them and let them know you may be coming by to see the truck.

VIN: 1FDAF56F91EA04043
Stock #: 4043

I need to make sure that in fact everything works as it should. Ha, Mike from Richards Plumbing in Brooklyn should do as an intro

If you could PM your email or cell it should make things easier.

THANKS!!

I did not get a model release from Chris. He said he had to weld up a few cracks, but not much. looked like a pretty nice truck. I did not check to see if the A/C worked, or even if it had A/C. No leaks, nothing wet, no funny noises on the hydraulics. Has remote start on the platform for the truck, little lever selects controls on the ground or on the platform.

Old guy running the joint struck me as really nice, a good old boy. Sort of incongruous to see him working a computer. If one of you mugs are thinking of buying this out from under Mike, it ain't gonna fly with the guy selling the truck.

My first you tube video ever

Toby,

I can't thank you enough for being so kind as to take the time to look at the truck for me. This is another example of the really good guys and gals that are part of the BBS and the Porsche community.

Please PM me so I can send a Brooklyn cheesecake to you!!

Thanks again, Mike

He is a great Dude. He helped me out after my Father passed away with some area chores, which was a blessing.
