He never made it out of the 80s. Phenomenal artist. I never was a pop listener back then, but Prince made it to my play list, he was special. RIP.

In a twist of fateful irony, lead singer of Vanity 6, Denise Mathews (also 57) died two months ago. She was best known for her 1982 collaboration with PRINCE.
