Irate beaver 'takes man hostage'

Quote:

A rogue beaver struck terror into the heart of a man making his way home late at night in the Latvian city of Daugavpils, according to a local newspaper report picked up by Latvian Public Broadcasting.

The man, identified only as Sergei, says the beaver ran out of some bushes and suddenly bit him. He fell over as he tried to fight the rodent off and was bitten again as he tried to get up.

In what USA Today describes as a "Kafkian nightmare," Sergei phoned police as the beaver "held him hostage" and refused to let him get up, only to have his plea for help allegedly dismissed as a prank call.

Men have been held hostage by the beaver since time began; nothing new here.

Same thing happened to me.

The beaver is dangerous and has wrecked many men. :(

yeh, but I hope that we're not going to complain about an eager beaver

He should have given it a Brazilian to make it happy and kissed it gently.

Waxing can make them very grouchy!

Beavers can be relentless. Once they get something in their head its impossible to change their minds. Best to run as fast as possible but even then you may not escape. They will track you down and make your life miserable! You may decide to go and find a younger beaver but those have their own set of issues. If you take an aggressive stance you will be known as a beaver beater and that doesn't play well with the media. If you cower and fold than you are beaver whipped. Could always get a mail-order beaver but they have been known to take you deep after play time ends. Best advice when dealing with beavers is to watch from a safe distance, sneak up on them slowly, don't startle them (or promise them anything!). Make sure their expectations of you are low and for God sake don't get involved with a high maintenance beaver!

Where is that cartoon where the wife has a beaver in the sink shaving it and she saying "he asks me to do the silliest things some times...."
