So true. HIIT!!!!!

Do that a few times a day. Maybe rip some good form squats with a plate a whole bunch of times. It really doesn't take as much as people think

HIIT without the warmup/cool down around it seems like a recipe for a heart attack or stroke.

burning calories is time at xxx heart rate. interval training within a workout allows you to raise the bar over time but I've not heard it suggested as a solo plan for health in any way.

what am I missing here?

The paradigm of HIIT is not one of calories burned, but of hormonal effects and resting metabolism

Nice. I cut out juice. If I do drink it, it's just a big splash of it in water.

My BIL orders this giant glass of OJ every time I take him to breakfast. I bet it's 20oz. That a lot of sugar.

every exercise routine warrants warm up and cool down. Period.

I don't warm up. My slow starts are self-warming.

My cool downs happen when I'm laying on the ground waiting for the sweet release of death. I'll do stretches in case I live.

I don't care what one does but do keep the story of Jim Fixx in mind.

I agree, if you have a genetic predisposition to atherosclerosis, get checked out, even if you go from a fat tub of goo that is heavily using tobacco to not so much, risk is risk.
