Web developers / business owners...which payment processor to use?
I've got a website in development to sell a small number of products. The site is based on WordPress running Woocommerce for the eCommerce shopping cart side.
I need a payment processor to accept card transactions and want to be able to accept newer forms of payment such as ApplePay. Some of the recommendations to look into from the web developers were Braintree Payments, PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.Net, and First Data. We haven't talked in detail yet about who's better one way or the other. Thoughts? Looks like most of them are 2.9% + 0.30 cents per transaction. What are you using and what should I watch out for? Thanks in advance...

I've used Paypal for a while. Fees are a little high but can't beat them for convenience.
Confused why you would need ApplePay for eCommerce?

I've used a few different options over the years and hands down by far authorize.net is my first don't even think twice about it go to.
They are competitive, great API documentation, integrate with every gateway out of the box, great customer support. They are if not #1 top 3.

We use authorize.net. No problems, but it's all we've ever used so I have nothing to compare it to.

Timely. I'm building my new site with e-commerce now. Will also look into authorize.net.

I've used authorize.net for about 15 years. They are only a payment gateway, yes? You still need a processor. I used First Card International for a long time, but their fees became ridiculous, so I recently switched to Elavon (thru Costco). So far, so good.

We have recently started using Stripe and it's been a very good experience so far. Setting up auto billing is easy and you can do everything from phone or computer.
