Since we are talking about animal cruelty, how about the fireworks guy ?
What about this guy? Are we getting silly yet? Heck, I just pranked my 10 year old son like this over the weekend .

Would you this to a 1 year old kid? Your 10 year old son is capable of understanding what is going on. He would be startled, but he would he would "get it" and settle down, though he might lose some trust in you.
I've seen a lot of cruelty to dogs since my DIL got us involved in Pit Bull rescue. This doesn't crack the top ten list, but it is still a cruel thing to do to an animal. What is worse is the reason the did it - so he could get a laugh out of the dog's terror.

What a moron... he gives white trash a bad name.
He should be fined and have the poor dog removed. And I'm guilty of setting off illegal professional grade fireworks for many years (no longer because they are way too expensive) but out in the middle of the street not inside the house for heavens sake!

Not related to this (cruel) situation in any way but...
One thing that helped while raising the dog was exposure to all different types of circumstances. I didn't want him to be scared because fearful dogs will bite defensively. Tried to take him downtown and everywhere so he could toughen up and be familiar/comfortable with all situations in a positive way. Noises, people, animals, cars, chaos. To ignore and not be reactive. Puppy training classes definitely helped. Last edited by john70t; 07-08-2016 at 07:30 AM.. |
