MacBook Pro damage

Wife hit the screen of our retina MacBook Pro with her air and damaged the screen. 99% sure apple care doesn't cover accidental damage. What's the best move here?

It does cover accidental damage so you should be OK.

I bought the plan after the wife drop her iPad with 3 days left on the credit card accidental coverage (normally 90 days).

Not only the credit card pay for replacing it but also paid for the Apple Care Plan accidentally because it was on the same invoice :D:):D

Good Luck

Hmm, all the reading I've done says AppleCare for Mac explicitly does not cover accidental damage. AppleCare+ for iPhone/iPad seems too. Credit card covers accidental damage for 120 days. I'm about 150 days in.

Apple will fix it for $200 or so, or may even goodwill the first repair if you have Apple Care.

Not sure about goodwill part but they will definitely fix it for ~ $250. My MBP had a faulty mainboard and while they were in there also replaced all memory and the keyboard for good measure. Good value there.

put on your Saddy McSadface...be polite and walk into a Apple store..if you have a star wars t-shirt..wear that.

prepare to be stunned.

My 2011 Macbook Pro just got back from the depot in Tennessee last week and it was repaired entirely under "good will." As mentioned above I think I used a pretty good "sad face" when talking to the technician. They would have repaired it locally but didn't have the parts on hand.

New main board and a new mag-safe lock in about a 48 hour turnaround. I think with Apple it never hurts to ask for a little good faith.

She hit it with her air?
My wife could blow a buzzard off a road kill skunk sometimes, but I never thought she could melt a computer.

Ha. Her MacBook Air. A nice, soft aluminum cased laptop, right into the screen.
