Ripping guitar riffs

Pete Townshend - Magic Bus

I have often thought of magic bus as a cover and always thought... "no way"- I would need 3-4 others to make it work... and slithered away in my own patheticness. To watch Pete pull it off by himself was great.

So your post got me on a hunt, and it took me to some good places... but I will submit a cover....overdone... however...like yours... if one even dare attempt it- you'd better have the goods to freakin' pull it off!

This video is as fun to watch as listen too. I had never seen it on video before. It seems frenetically fast framed!

DT-Under a Glass Moon solo.

I'm a drummer but this solo is pretty darn awesome.

Huge Pete Townshend fan, I have the live at Albert hall DVD.

Michael Hedges however is from another planet... I don't know how he did the things he did with a guitar... taken away too soon :(

IMHO, this is, hands down, the best guitar riff ever.

One of the greatest guitarists in this world. Check out his playing around 3:50

Some of my favorites are from Robben Ford... he never plays too many notes and has monster tone. And I love the way he blurs the line between rock, blues, and jazz.

First... I love this little swinger...

<iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5xOy2GA5HyY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This one kills me... I'll never forget the first time I heard it... unbelievable power and tone... wait for it...

<iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vM0CWfVZczY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

One more for the road... lots of swagger and understated at the same time... doesn't really take off until 2:07...

Hey, is it just me, or does that drummer's semi-chaotic playing style in Lovin' Cup remind anyone else of Moonie?

Hard to pick just one....
Jimi - Hey Joe
Stones - Brown Sugar (plus the entire Beggars Banquet album)
Reaching back further - Buddy Holly - Not fade away
Doc Watson - Take your pick - he was da man,
and a couple from Tony Rice :
