My pick up truck tire question, who has used Futura tires?

From Pep Boys. They are running a sale 4 tires for under 400 bucks. Typ load range E. what do you guys think. I am currently running BFG's commercial TA and they wore like iron. These should be OK? They should be Safe?

Get a road warranty. Cheap tires are cheap tires.

I've been running Generals for years. Similar to BFG's at a much better price...

I wouldn't put E tires on unless I knew I needed them.

Not sure what truck you have but I ran firestone destination LE tires on my tundra for most of the time I had it and loved them.

I don't need all terrane, off road tire. A comfortable (like if there are such thing on 3/4 ton truck) and safe tire.

Yeah, a Tundra is a 1/2 ton truck and does not run E tires. Different animal.

I try to save $$ where I can but don't use cheap tires on anything. It gets tricky because sometimes off-brand tires are good tires just rebranded but not always. In the last year, I've bought a set of Michelins for one truck and a set of General A/Ts for another, both good tires. I got a good deal on both, the Michelins were on sale on Tirerack and the Generals I get a good price locally on.

I can get the Generals for you installed for $600 out-the-door in 265/75 16s 10-ply in Hollywood, let me know.

Thanks Dennis. Taking the kids camping this weekend and hauling everyone's stuff and I don't want to take a chance with old worn tires because it may rain on me. Power slide is not too much fun. I need 235 85 16s Where in Hollywood? Working on a home a couple of blocks from the Greek theater.

America's Tire Depot on Hollywood Blvd. 2 blocks w of Normandie, talk to John and tell him I sent you. It's really in Thai town/little Armenia, very close to Los Feliz and Greek theatre.

Their number is (323) 661-8473

They are one of the best tire shops I've ever found, I trust them w nice rims, not lifting vehicles in wrong spots, torquing lugnuts, etc., etc.

Also, (almost forgot), 235/85 16 is OG size on my F-250 but I run 265/75s because they are identical diameter and not too wide, (about 9.25"). Good luck!

Thank you. Had no idea about the similar size between the two.

They don't need to have them in stock. They are a phone call and 20 minutes away.
