Docusign..what do you think?

kinda streamlines a lot of businesses no?

the jury is still out with me..my newest real estate agent met with us and went sentence by sentence on our house offer..kinda liked that a lot.

she said she never goes with Docusign on that "event".

what do you think?

Extensively researched this for financial services sector. Use e sign live! Light-years ahead. Especially for security and white label solution.

You can do the sentence by sentence thing by call or conference call, and it greatly streamlines initialing and changes. What system used is up for debate, but the concept is sound.

Keller-Williams system (dot-loop) is pretty cool.

It does streamline things, but annoys me.

Vash, I bough and sold the last 5 house using Docusign. I am very old fashion, but come to like it a lot. It saves so much time, plus, my wife signs everything for me. Just a simple click and be done with it. I can drive into her office and sign all docs and that's Ok with me too. I just need to know when so I can make the time to do so. With traffic the way it is, Docusign can be done in 3 minutes after dinner in front of the computer.

It's a HUGE time and hassle saver when I have a simple amendment or extension that I have to get signed for a deal. Buyers and sellers LOVE it for that, vs having to come into the office or have me come over.

HOWEVER... I am seeing a lot of agents using it for listing agreements and even purchase & sale agreements, and I think that is really risky and can be super lazy. There is a LOT to go over, and generally a lot of questions. If it usually takes me 30-45 mins to go over a purchase agreement, then how can I reasonably ask a buyer or seller to just "click" their signature and send it back?

I just had deal where I was the listing agent, and the buyer (first timer, BTW) had their offer submitted through docusign. Not a single condition (inspection, financing, deposit) was met on time., we got another offer and went with that one instead because the whole deal was making me and my seller nervous. I happened to bump into the buyer at another open house the next week, and he said he had NO IDEA what was going on or what the expectations or responsibilities were. His agent lives 5 blocks from him, and just asked him to Docusign it. Never had the OFFER ON A HOUSE explained to him.

He's my buyer now, showing him homes tomorrow afternoon

awesome!!

not to hyjack my own thread. how do you suppose that buyer unloaded his old agent?

i did a crappy, "it not you, it's me..." BS story with mine. sucked at it. hahahhaha..

my new agent took 2 hours to go over the buying contract with me, and we called my banker to get her involved with contigenciencies..

my first agent did the my first offer totally by docusing..she was in mexico on vacation..i asked for her assistant to go over it with me, but she said everything is boiler plate. haha..i bailed on that house, because of her.

We use it quite a bit in construction for change order approval, contract mods, etc. Saves a whole lot of time. I can approve cost items from my phone during meetings. Very useful.

I recently purchased a (new to us) home and used Docusign. Made it streamlined and painless.
