Bummer they did not do a Classic 911. Still cool.

I'm in the process of building this one w/ my son right now:

Will be interesting to see that 911. We (OK, my kids) built the F40 recently. Pretty cool, but the Ferrari's actually a pretty blocky car. A 911 is a bit more rounded,(and a 930 even more so), which will more challenging to render in Legos. But then again, the Technic series seems to "cheat" a little with all those body panels--as seen on that green LMP model, above.

Didn't know about the FJ40 planned. I always wanted to try making an FJ60 from Legos.

I have the 918 and the Ferrari 458

The blocks don't have to be square. They have pieces that are flat on the bottom and rounded on top.

Here's the link for the fj40. It's under review, but seems to have the support! Hope it goes through.

If it sells with the "camouflage" on, I'm not sure I'd buy it. If it sells looking more like a delivered race car, I'm almost certainly in. It'd go on the shelf next to my lego VW Beetle.

I'm not a huge fan of the camo either. I'm betting they are stickers much like the F40 kit .. At least I'm hoping they are stickers!

It says it is to look like a car that is in development. They use the camo on that sort of car, so who knows.

Saw a full-size, half-LEGO Porsche 911 at Rennsport last year.

Well here it is! Releases June 1st my birthday! Not crazy about the orange I thought the black looked better as it would disguise all the gaps and such. It's $300 as well which is pretty pricey, but I might just splurge.. although $300 might be better spent on the actual Porsche I have Link to new video. Pretty intricate kit I'd have to say. Shifts and have drive and reverse.
You will spend hours playing with this Lego Porsche 911 GT3 RS

I know legos are back full force, but I much prefer the old general build stuff to the specialized one purpose parts of the new kits.

I think it's cool that there are Lego Porsche kits out there, but am I alone in thinking that the finished product looks like garbage? I mean... look at that thing. The gap between the bumper and the lights is huge. That's the best they could come up with?
