Need a co-location facility in Houston Tx

Bit of a shot in the dark, but one element of my latest assignment has me setting up a new computer infrastructure (VCE VBlock 340's most likely) in Houston, so I am looking for about 5kVA of space, associated storage space, network backbone connections (two providers).

Since I do not know the co-location market in Houston, just wondering if anyone on this list has experience with any of the facilities in the area.

Ideally it would be located near or in the Woodlands, been in business for long enough to be a reliable provider, since this will be the "B" site of an Active/Active infrastructure, reliability and quality of service and support is more important than the absolute cheapest cost.

Thanks!

Dennis

I use Linode and one of my machines is hosted in Dallas.

May be worth popping into #linode on irc.freenode.net and asking who they locate with...

Now Bob, hey I have been looking at that list and called a couple, so I found all the centres, what I am interested in is finding out what the experience has been with any particular one.......some are better, some are worse....I am hoping to find out which are the better!

Understood, but honestly, fairly unlikely there would be a large enough sample pool here to be of much value.

Cyrus One is on the Sam Houston aka Beltway 8, on the west side. I think they have multiple locations around Houston.

Any reason why the Woodlands?

One of my buddies runs data centers for some large retail concerns. Let me ask him...

I thought Cyrus 1 was located on 59 inside the loop. Did they move or do they have multiple locations? I'm guessing they moved. I know they had some flooding issues on the feeder road out front.

They have at least 3 locations in Houston. West Beltway, I-45 and Galleria

The Woodlands is a sub north of Houston about 30 miles no?

BTW, here is a tip, if you have the cash and want to plunk it down on an area that is fixin to increase big in value look at the 3rd ward near midtown. Some spots are rough but I've been watching development occur that tracks that of other high dollar areas. Its ripe right now.
