With great trepidation, I allowed Windows to install 10 the other day (I was running 7). The "popup message" had changed from, "Hey, you should install Win10" to "You're installing Win10 on June 1st. Cool?" So, I said screw it and let them go. Figured I've had this laptop for about 4 years now, so if it bricked...oh well. My biggest worry was that I was going to lose MS Office because I REALLY don't want to do Office 365.
Well, after about an houri-sh, the upgrade was finished. All my programs and files are still there, I lost nothing, and everything seems to be working fine, with the exception of the scroll bar on the touchpad. For whatever reason, that stopped working, but since that's the only problem, I think I can live with it. |

Just Google "windows 10 tracking features".
Everything you say, write, handwrite and go to is logged... Here is just one site suggesting what to shutoff, there are many more and even freeware to disable all the features: Everything You Need to Disable in Windows 10 « Windows Tips |

I installed Office 365 on my work LT (Windows 7)... Now every time I shut down any Office app it reopens on its own.
Tried everything suggested by Microsoft and the problem still persists. (uninstalled and reinstalled twice... Tried the simple repair, deleted/disabled add ins etc.) Also uninstalled some recently installed apps. Actually I blame myself because Office was asking to be upgraded every time I opened an app. I should have known better... Microsoft really needs to get their act together but they wont do that until they have some real competition. |

I like 10 on a tablet, but I'm not upgrading on my PC's. Same as servers, can't stand 2012, good example of a company raming stuff down your throat without an UI/UX analysis done with real people that use it.
