idea for new thread subject
i see a lot of the same problems get addressed here and a LOT of suggestions to just search. there are also some very good threads with tips and how to's. take for instance on the 930 page the sticky at the top.
so why not make a page just for repairs that are definitive in their solution or have great troubleshooting tips in them. I would also make them so they can NOT be edited by anyone except the person that started it. there are so many "you da man", or "way to go", or just "subd" that can really clutter up a great thread. I have seen a good one on rebuilding the 3.0 distributor for example that would be great to put in there. here is another one along with one I did. I also did one on the 930 fuel system explaining how it works and how to TS it. part of it is in the sticky on the 930 page. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/348306-ignition-switch-inside-fix-start-lockout.html http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/631173-solenoid-starter-rebuild-finally.html being able to see them in a list format might be better because it could give people ideas, also having actual fixes for problems under one subject title would help to weed out all the BS threads when someone searches. maybe there could be a way to submit them to the moderators before a lot of the BS replies get added. just a thought. |

You would have more success trying to get everyone to use their turn signals.
