Magazines for an Old Mossberg 22?
I'd like to buy some mags for this old 22, I have one that holds five rounds.
It says: O.F. Mossberg and Sons, Inc. New Haven, Conn, USA 42M 22-S-L-LR I've searched but no luck, I have no idea as to its age. ![]() ![]()

Looks like magazines for the 42 are pricey. One on Ebay with a BIN of $125, others in the $50 range. You cab bid on this one:

Text sent.
For $50-$110, I don't want one that badly. |

From the Ebay ad, it looks like the part # is R-119 for the 42M model.

Craig, I don't think that one is quite right. The one I have doesn't have a spacing rod for different size of 22 rounds.

clippings
fits. does not have a fancy screw, but those always cost more. The guide rail
![]() I know how to measure things if that helps. I also pixed my western field lever model 865, no serial numbers, made by mossberg for hardware stores, sears, wards, etc. ![]() ![]()

Guide rail looks very different. Mine is a 42M, doesn't say (A), (B) or (C), so I don't know.

i see. I had one of those a few years back, sold it to a serious collector from Topeka, KS.
I had just one clip. I will keep my eyes peeled for one in case I discover one.

Craig, in looking at the ebay one closer, it looks like it will fit, the rear groove is about the same size. I may well bid on it. I contacted vic@havlinsales.com and he said he is going to start making some soon, but no price given.

Bid up to $41 and got out bid, gotta think how much I really want one for a rifle I shoot once every few years. Initially I was hoping for around $20-$25.
My Son is picking me up two S&W M&P Shield 40, seven round mags new for $16.50 each with his discount. Real S&W mags. |

Finally got an email from havlinsales.com, they're re-manufacturing these mags and I'm buying one for $42 delivered.

Yup, Havlins. Their scope mount is also very good. I have one for my 44US-c but I prefer using the S-130 peeps (I have other scoped bench guns)
