I have developed a philosophy of gardening which seems to be easily applicable to life in general. There are three primary rules with which to begin:

1. Make a plan

2. Stick to the plan

3. Use what you got

In an effort to challenge myself I imposed a restriction to primarily paint only what can be found in and around my home and land. This way, in painting a landscape for example, allows me to have created it twice. Another example would be interior scenes. This one, unfinished as some of the paintings do not yet exist:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1466724766.jpg

Exactly. Get into nature and be seduced by her.

Thank you.

I grew, lost and then found this onion in the back of the cupboard:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1466726594.jpg

BTW, I'm jealous of your access to water. Here's my delightful bare batch - doesn't entice much.

Irrigation, my friend. Dihydrous monoxide being the most important nutrient.

We've been in our house for three years now. Our plot is tiny by American standards but I like that maintenance is relatively low. I'm especially proud of my lawn that I planted from seed. It's taken a while but is now filled out nicely. My three raised beds are filled with vegetables and don't require much weeding.

It took a while...I'm old & slow.
Done with the wood splitting. The SIL came over and got his cut (NPI) a truck load of wood. All my wood storage areas are full......even the new one.
Got some pics.

Wow, awesome job. Looks great.

Isn't having wood stacked up against the house supposed to be a no-no because of termites?

Probably....It's up against my shop....there is more on the opposite side of that building.
I have all this firewood but don't plan to be here come winter....go figure.

I'm seriously shopping for a used class C motor home, preferably from some where near to home.....Vancouver, WA.
