Pikes Peak RIP racer
Pikes Peak Hill Climb Confirms Death Of Motorcyclist Carl Sorensen
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb announced the death of rider Carl Sorensen in a statement a few hours after the accident. Sorensen, 39, is from Centennial, Colo.

He was very serious about tech inspections and making things as safe as possible. I only tlked to him a couple times but he was always helpful

Carl Sorensen Memorial Celebration The Sorensen family will be hosting a Memorial to celebrate the life of Hot Carl Sorensen this Wednesday, July 1st, at 5:00pm! All who knew Carl’s goofy laugh, racing passion, and sincere friendship are welcome to join in this celebration. We will all feel Carl’s absence for years to come but we want this Wednesday night to be a party that Carl would have been proud to attend. This is not a formal occasional, however please dress respectfully. It is suggested that you ride your motorcycle to the event. When: The evening starts 5pm with the official celebration beginning at 6. Where: Mazzotta Ranch (17935 West 44th Avenue, Golden, CO 80403). Seating and tables will be available, but there is large lawn area, so bring a blanket. What can I bring?: Bring a great story about Carl! Was 217 Carl's race number? Glad I didn't know him. That woulda hurt badly.
