Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Kid takes mom's car on joyride while she's out of town.

Kid crashes into parked car

Kid panics and tries to get home ASAP to hide....

Kid is about to get his ass handed to him by Mom.

You could read the linked article, but here's the real short version.
Unlicensed teen driver, stole moms car, hit a parked car, hit and run, panic and trying to stuff a round peg into a square hole.

"He's lucky he's not facing criminal charges."

That makes me furious! I've had a parked vehicle that was 'hit and run' on three occasions. Caught the dickhead responsible each time and never was able to get any charges filed. Police just don't want to deal with it

I really did not have to see that.

On a bright note yesterday I saw a young lady do an excellent job of parallel parking her Jeep Renegade. I was on my front porch smoking my pipe when she walked by and complimented her. She explained it was a mandatory skill living and working in town, and I agree.

Great smile too.

I love the positive energy this kid must have.

"I have stolen a car. I do not have a license. I hit a parked car, blew up the front fender and broke a tie rod. I drove away. With a broken tie rod, I cannot steer the vehicle so I am going to drop the hammer and force it into the garage. In doing so I will tear up a large portion of the drivers side of the car. But the car is home, I am safe and Mom will either not notice or will be just happy that I am OK."

It is either positive energy gone amuck or a distinct lack of rational problem solving ability. Wonder if the law enforcement response ever entered in his mind?

The real kicker is the cops say if he had of stayed at the scene it would have only been a $275 fine for driving without a licence.
