Wayne - just got 14 pop ups - what's happening?

I have been on Pelican most of the day, just logged in again tonight and noticed that 12 pop up windows of Wayne's other drivewerks site appeared.

That's the last time I comment in a pop up thread - must be pay back time.!!!!

But Wayne I was supportive of the occassional pop up - you've got the wrong guy

I'm having the same issues with pop ups. I just looked down and had a ton. Are they opening up when I go to a new thread?

Just FYI.

David,

When Wayne chimes in here, he's going to blame you for not having your internet browser configured correctly.

I sometimes get a pop up when I first log on. After that, it's pretty rare.

Tight, you are right, I don't think it's configuration, I think it might be the browser version. I use Netscape 4.x, Netscape 7.0, and IE 6.0. I get the occasional popup on mine.

But this is free and will get rid of them once and for all.... sorry Wayne.

PS I haven't bought anything from the popups yet, but I browse the diecast models, the posters, and would love to buy one of each of the fasteners.

The pop up is OK, and now whenever I see "drive werks" I get super mega pissed off because I am forced to see it everyday.
Anyone ever says or write "Drive Werks" at me, I'm going to lose it.

There is no way this is a browser issue. I have been on Pelican many times during the day and this started happening tonight.

Not Me.....

There is a setting in the "advanced" config section of the Mozilla ( did I menion it is free?)browser that eliminates any popups. I get no popups. If I want to buy 911 parts I will checkout pelican first. But I don't like being SPAMMED by their popups 3 times a day. Mozilla fixed that. Drive werks? What is that?

Wayne - are these popups really necessary? They are obnoxious. If I had not found a way to rid myself of them I would have limited my BBS browsing to Porsche Pete's and Rennlist. FWIW I did buy your 101 projects book. And I did not do so because of a SPAM popup.

This happened to me once on Pelican, about a week ago. I closed a Drivewerks window just as it was finishing loading up, and i got a million popups and had to reboot. Only time anything like this ever happened. Must be some kind of weird fluke...
