Replacent Watch Band

I have one of these Citizen sports watches that has a leather band. I wear it daily as a beater watch, and it sees lots of abuse, mountain bike riding and working around the shop. The Band on it absorbs sweat and starts smelling over time. I have been tossing it in my Ultrasonic cleaner with pinesol then treating it with oil... but was wondering if there is a better watchband (Nylon maybe,?) that is more suited to how I am using it.

Thanks, Bill

Sorry about the image size.. I just pulled it from the net.

I buy my straps from Panatime. Maybe silicone or a nato strap will do the trick....

+1 on rubber or silly cone... or Amazon has some nice black SS link bands for $10-$20...

Make absolutely sure you have the millimeter measurement exactly right.

Thanks guys! Digital vernier says 22.00 mm between the pin bosses... I am guessing thats the width I need.

I don't know if anybody makes straps that big. Maybe check www.gorillawrist.com

I like NATO's. They're comfortable and cheap enough to have a bunch and just toss them when they wear out. Easy to wash as well.

Going to put a NATO on this little gem I just picked up. A 1969 Seiko 6106-7107. Probably something that looks like the Gulf livery.

Equals current awesomeness with long-term appreciation potential. Sort of like a 911. : ).

How about one of those paracord bands? I'm assuming they're washable. You could get two and rotate them.
