Who has ever dined at Club 33?
Although I loathe Disneyland I was lucky enough to score and invite/dinner there with my family. Strange having such a good meal compared to the overpriced junk in the park.

A coworker of mine has eaten there. Other than bragging rights (and an excellent meal/alcohol) I can't understand the appeal of the very expensive membership.

Whole bunch of my old coworkers were members. A bit weird in my eyes, but whatever. Something like a 7 year wait to become a member or something?

I have. Very nice!
At the time it was it was the only place in Disneyland that served alcohol (still is?). The food was very good, the service was great. It's neat being up above and being able to look down. Most people don't realize there's a restaurant up there, they think it's just another facade. Fun entering the unmarked door (nothing on it except a 33). I definitely recommend it. Most people get in by knowing someone who has a membership there. Usually through a company, used for business development. |

Google Club 33. The whole is licensed for alcohol now but they limit it to special vents or closed parties.

I've eaten there several times. A good friend has been a member for years. It's nice. Food is great. It's been a couple years, but the last time I was there the decor could use a little refreshing.

My best friend was the president of a subsidiary of FNF for 15 years or so. FNF must have one of the higher level memberships because when we ate there, my buddy literally pointed at almost everything on the menu and dinner was served almost like a buffet. The food just kept coming and our families just took whatever looked good. Everything always looked good.
Another thing is that it is pretty neat is to have an entire dining room to yourself, along with two servers. They wait against the opposing walls until you make eye contact with them when you need something. The best part of the meal is at the end when the server comes out, thanks you for coming, bows and then leaves. No check, no signature required, no nothing. You just get up and leave. Very cool experience. |

It's well worth the experience as long as someone else is the member since it's an expensive membership. Food and service was great.

A good friend that passed away last year was one of the original members. Went several times with him and his family. Saw Mr Disney once.
Pretty much anything you ask for, they will somehow come up with it!

I feel robbed! I did contract work for Imagineering for several years back in the 90's and was never invited. Did it exist back then? I did eat at the Magic Castle, though.

HOOT! Remember getting a phone call from a very weary Evren while taking his children to the Orlando Disney thing. Kids-kids-and more kids everywhere wearing him to a bundle of nerves. I asked if there was anywhere adults could hide. The weary sounding response...."nowhere".

I think it goes back to the 60's at least. Walt used it to wine and dine friends, associates, VIP's. At some point they started selling memberships. Then, once they had sold "enough" they capped the number of memberships. My understanding is that after that point you just got on a waiting list and waited until someone didn't/couldn't pay for it anymore.

$25,000 to join, $10,000 per year dues, you still have to pay for your food.
You'd have to be nuts to want to have a membership. JR |

Bragging rights. Used like country club membership - invite friends, clients etc. Totally NOT my world.

I've never heard of a club 33 before now, don't know anything about it.
But you can get a drink in dismal-land. Or at least you could the last time I was there maybe a dozen years ago. Take the shuttle to the dismal-land hotel. there's a restaurant on one of the upper floors, pretty sure its on the same floor as the shuttle. There is a bar in that restaurant. When I used to go to the park, after a while I would start to get a little claustrophobic when all the Einsteins mingling around would decide that it was a good idea to have a family of 19 stop right smack dab in the middle of a busy walkway to have a long drawn out conversion and completely stop all foot traffic while everyone struggles to get around these MISUNDERSTOOD folks ...... sorry about that side track. Crowds totally suck because they are made of people. But anywho, I would occasionally jump on the shuttle and cruise over for a cocktail or a beer and be back in 10 minutes. Easy Peasey. |
