Once upon a time,
Not that long ago, a good friend of mine, a BMW M/C rider, asked me if I could help him with a meet and greet bike rally he was setting up for some of his club member pals. I was a life long bike rider so I thought I'd try to help him out.
He asked if I could come up with some sort of questionnaire to entertain the bikers while they arrived and registered. Then later I think he'd use their answers for door prizes or that sort of thing. "I'll give it a shot" I said, not enthusiastically. So I managed to put together some questions and as I got going it got a bit easier and was kind of fun. FUN I thought, would be, well "Fun" I can only remember some of the quiz questions, here's a few. "What flat tracker generally ran number "9" on his bike?" "What was the nickname of ex champ Dick Mann?" The prime Minister of Canada is: Harper Stevensen? Steven Harper? or Don Cherry? BMW Mc's were founded in what year? 1923 or 1932 0r 1837? The BMW roundel is a spinning --------------? BMW stands for Bob Marley and the Wailers true or false? you get the picture My friend didn't seem to be too impressed as he read through these questions, I think he wanted something more "spot on technical" and humourless. My wife was enjoying it and that's all the encouragement I needed. But my next multiple choice put him over the top, storming out and not using my quiz at all. This was the fatal question: What name is used to describe the BMW motorcycle is it A: Bimmer B: Beemer or C: Bummer ?? Just goes to show ya, some people have no SOH Thanks for lookin' |
Wait. Did he say something about thinking about it and getting back to you?

Sounds better than a boring technical quiz.

Question: What do they call a BMW in New Zealand?
Wrong! Answer: They don't call it a B, M, double U. They call it a B, M, trouble you. |
Bowel movement? That's what kids say when they need to go take a dump. BEE M

Dennis,
I thought you had to have a sense of humour to live on the island? For what it's worth, I agree with your wife. Best Les |
