Fireworks at Knott's Berry Farm.
They start at 10pm but they neighbors have been going at it for three hours. It's a war zone. Smells like an Arty barrage in WWII. The dogs are cowering in the crate. We sedated them. My street and back yard are covered in casings and debris.

I remember watching those as a kid. Musta been 3 or 4. I was so scared the embers would fall to the ground and burn us. I remember hiding behind my dad's leg, under a tree.
Sorry about your pips. We had a 1/2 hour show locally and came home to a more-nervous-than-normal dog.

My dogs are strange about fireworks. Both are Border Terriers - gun dogs. One is very frightened of fireworks and the other doesn't seem to notice or care. One of the cats thinks they are quite good and goes out to watch them LOL.

We lit off a few in the street while the dog was inside. Came in and he was fine. Can still hear a few, and he is passed out on the floor. Very glad for that. My lab always barked at fireworks, I think mostly because she wanted to go retrieve whatever the boom had killed.
